Bio

Monika Grabowska is an MD/PhD candidate at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She received her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2019. She is currently a graduate student in Wei-Qi Wei's lab in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her research interests include high-throughput phenotyping using electronic health record (EHR) data and computational drug repurposing. She is working on developing and validating specialized pediatric phenotype codes, or phecodes, to better capture clinically meaningful pediatric phenotypes in the EHR.
