Peds-Phecodes

Phecodes help transform data from large numbers of Electronic Health Records into usable phenotypes for health and pharmacology research. Phecodes consist of groupings of ICD codes into about 2,000 hierarchically organized phenotypes.

Since pediatric diseases differ from adult conditions, pediatric-specific phecodes can improve phenotyping in pediatric research. Peds-Phecodes is a database of pediatric-specific phecodes that can be used by any researcher to improve their phenotyping in pharmacology and health research.
